At sailcentre we give a MOT to any of your sails. Advising you of any work that we would recommend.

Removing the salt and grime is essential to ensure that durability and performance is not compromised and the growth of mildew is limited.
Sailcentre recommends a wash using Tip Top Sail Laundry, who use there own purpose developed sail Fabric Cleaner. All the sails are washed by hand and not by a macheine; which can damage the fabric.
We then service the sails ensuring your season ahead is not spoilt by failing sails.
Once washed and overhauled sail can be stored in our heated store.

Sails worse enemy is sunlight, which can causes the breakdown of the cloth and stitching.
New sails can loose up to 50% of strength if exposed too much UV light.
Sailcentre can fit or replace sacrificial strips with UV light resistant fabric to your furling sails, this is essential to ensure your sails longevity.

Sailcentre we can undertake repairs to your sails to keep you sailing; from ripped spinnakers to broken battens.
We can also alter your sails including; luff reductions, leech re-hollwing, fitting leech lines and many more just ask.

Sailcentre can offer a 24-hour emergency repair service.
This service aims to have your sails repaired and back on your boat in within 24 hours where possible.
